Welcome to Nibble Break, where we follow a box of grass through its day. This time: a box of oat, and the particular cat it was grown for. Maybe yours.
Oat is crisp grass for cats who are particular about what they eat. It naturally contains fiber and minerals, and like all three of our grasses, it helps with hairballs.
Particular cats simply know what they like, and they like to decide in their own time. They sniff before they commit. They walk away to think about it. They come back when they're sure nobody is watching. Every grass has its own texture, and a particular cat notices every one of them. Oat is grown for exactly that kind of cat: crisp, fresh and harvested the morning it's delivered. It's organic, grown hydroponically here in the UAE, pesticide-free and non-GMO. If your cat is the kind who inspects their food bowl like a restaurant critic, this one is for them. And if it turns out oat isn't their grass after all, subscribers have the Happy Cats Guarantee to fall back on. More on that at the end.
You probably know a particular eater when you see one. They have a favorite spot, a favorite time of day and very firm views about both. They prefer things where they left them. New arrivals are treated with suspicion, at least until they've been sniffed thoroughly and from several angles. Loud noises send them under the bed; a sunny windowsill brings them out again. They are, in short, cats. Introducing them to anything new, grass included, works best at their pace, not ours. So let's follow a box of oat from the moment it's ordered and see how the day might go.
In a home with more than one cat, a particular eater may also wait for the keen one to finish first. That's fine. They'll get their turn.

Late evening It starts the night before. You place your order, and your box will arrive the next day. (A Saturday order arrives on Monday, since there are no deliveries on Sundays or UAE public holidays.) You might choose a single box of oat, or a plan. Subscription plans come with free delivery, and so do one-time orders of 2 or more boxes; a one-time order of a single box pays a delivery fee. For a particular eater, a plan has one extra advantage: the Happy Cats Guarantee taste swap is for subscribers. You can skip, pause, change grass or cancel any time from your account, with no commitments and no fees. Then you go to bed, and the work begins without you.

Next morning Your oat is harvested the morning it's delivered. It's packed fresh and chilled, ready to travel. Nothing about the box has been sitting on a shelf waiting for you; it was growing until this morning. That freshness matters to a particular cat, who tends to notice these things. The box is then on its way across the emirates to you.
12:00 PM The delivery window opens. Your box reaches you the same day it's harvested, between 12 PM and 10 PM. Our courier will call or send a WhatsApp, and we never leave grass unattended, so it reaches you fresh. If an attempt is missed, the delivery moves by one day. Meanwhile, your particular eater is doing what particular eaters do best: napping in the one spot you'd like to sit, and keeping an ear on the door.

3:00 PM The doorbell rings. The box arrives. Your cat watches from a safe distance, possibly from under the sofa, possibly from the top of the wardrobe. A delivery is a big event for a particular cat. Give them a moment before you unwrap anything.
3:05 PM You set the box down in a calm spot your cat already likes, near where they rest. Your cat approaches, nose first, and gives it a long sniff. Then they walk away. Don't worry. For a particular eater, it's the start of a conversation.
3:30 PM Check the spot. Keep the box out of direct sun. In the UAE summer, the fridge works well between visits. Then leave it within reach, and leave your cat to it.
6:00 PM Your cat returns, checks nobody is looking, and takes a first nibble. Then another. Crisp grass, fresh that morning, can win over a cautious cat. Some particular eaters swing straight from suspicion to enthusiasm. One verified buyer of oat wrote, “She chewed it like she hadn't eaten in days lol!” If your cat eats a lot at once and brings it back up often, offer the box for 10 to 15 minutes at a time instead.
8:00 PM Or maybe not. Maybe your cat sniffs again, sits beside the box, and decides that tonight is not the night. That's fine too. Interest can come slowly. Our founder has watched cats warm to grass over several weeks, though that is founder-reported, not a study, and some cats never take to grass at all. The research on cat grass is clear on one thing: it should be an offer your cat chooses, never something they're made to have. So leave the box where it is. No need to hold grass under their nose or move the box around to tempt them. Familiar feels safe, and a box in the same calm spot is easier to trust than one that keeps moving.
10:00 PM The house winds down. Your particular eater, who has spent the evening pretending the box doesn't exist, pads over for one more look. A sniff, a pause, a nibble. Or a sniff, a pause and a long, dignified nap beside it. Either way, the box has been noticed, and that counts. One verified buyer of oat summed up the journey: “Had doubts in the beginning but damn we are happily subscribed now.” Another wrote, “My rescue cat munched happily and stopped nibbling on my fancy houseplants finally!” Not every first day ends that way. But a fresh box within reach gives your cat the chance to decide for themselves, which is exactly how a particular eater likes it.

The next few days Hold off on watering on arrival day. Two days after the box arrives, add a little water at the base of the box, never on the grass. A box stays good for about 7 days from harvest, so your cat has the week to make up their mind.
Within 48 hours If your cat still isn't taking to oat, subscribers can use the Happy Cats Guarantee. Tell us within 48 hours of delivery, choosing “Not nibbling yet” on the form at sprouties.ae/pages/happycats, and we send you a box of one of the other two grasses. If your cat enjoys it, we switch your subscription. If not, tell us within 48 hours of that delivery and choose a box of the third grass or a full refund of your latest plan payment. Once per subscription.

Day three: A few days in, evenings may look different. Your cat might stroll past the box on the way to the sofa, stop, and take a nibble without any fuss at all.
Night: By the end of the day, the box has a place in the routine, or it's still being considered. Both are fine. Before bed, check the box is out of direct sun and within reach for the morning. If your cat ends up loving oat, a plan keeps a fresh box coming, and you can skip, pause, change grass or cancel any time from your account.
